Summary: Internap shared the identity of a few customers on its recent earnings call.
Details: One of the clients was Lionsgate, an entertainment company. It moved to Internap’s data centre in Los Angeles to take advantage of power densities of up to 18 kW per rack. Lionsgate also selected Internap for its IP services and the fact there is a migration path into hosting and cloud services. Another customer was Scanline, a visual effects company. Scanline also selected Internap’s Los Angeles data centre and moved there from an on-premise facility. Scanline’s move was notable for the fact they had identified inefficient in-house data centres as a contributing factor to slowing growth. It could not take on customers and aims to resolve that with Internap’s facilities.
